The idea of Team Ford being a family comes up often because it’s true. Everyone at the dealership is ready to go to bat for their coworkers at any given moment. With that being said, that doesn’t mean everyone always agrees with each other—if you grew up with siblings you know exactly what we mean. Usually, every family also has a referee of sorts, the cool, level-headed individual ready to step in and keep the peace. More often than not, that individual is none other than our Commercial Truck Shop Manager Louise Pisani.
Born and raised in Sherwood Park, a long way from her parents’ home of Malta, Louise didn’t usually have anyone to referee her interactions with her older brother. However, she always held her own, much like she has in her 20 years in the automotive industry (17 of which have been at Team Ford). Louise is an integral part of the Team Ford fleet machine, and her top-notch organizational skills help keep all of her customers happy. Self-described as shy, Louise also knows the importance of building relationships on a foundation of trust in the fleet industry. So while she isn’t raring to hit the sales floor and chat with all of Team Ford’s newest customers, she’s definitely gotten comfortable working with fleet clients over the years. In fact, she still deals with clients from when she started in the business 20 years ago, whether they still work in a fleet department or not.
Away from her work family, Louise keeps busy with her husband, two teenage boys, and two dogs. Relaxation often revolves around going for bike rides, walking the dogs, or reading a novel from her favourite author, Stephen King (but don’t even get her started about the movies). And while the boys are well behaved, she spends a lot more time playing referee between the two dogs, where her 5-year-old Shorkie usually bullies her 8-year-old German Shepherd—the 100-pound size difference between the two of them be damned.
Just like withTeam Ford, or any family for that matter, someone needs to play the referee—we’re just lucky we’ve got Louise to do the job. If your business uses fleet vehicles, feel free to come and visit Louise for amazing service. No promises on whether she’ll any of your other business-related conflicts, but we’re not ruling it out either.
