Everyone knows Team Ford’s New Vehicle Sales Manager Darpan Chhabra as “D.C.,” just like everyone at Team Ford knows that D.C. isn’t just a Sales Manager. He’s the glue behind a well-oiled sales team. Always ready to roll up his sleeves and get the job done, D.C. sets the tone (and itinerary) at Team Ford every day—and the staff are happy to follow him.
No stranger to hard work, D.C. came from a middle class family in Mussoorie, a small town near the mountains of northern India. When he came to Canada in 2006 to meet his wife, he had nothing but his wife’s support. He then started with Go Auto, back when it was still the Mike Priestner Auto Group, and quickly worked his way up the corporate ladder. 12 years later, and D.C. has been able to see the world and start a family—something he chalks up to his work ethic and all the opportunity presented to him by Go Auto.
And when we say see the world, we mean it. Between all the passport stamps from trips to Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Japan, South Africa, the entire Caribbean, almost every American state, Paris, Venise, Florence, Austria, Sienna, and Istanbul, it’s hard to believe he still finds time to visit his family in India every year. The next trip he has planned is to Egypt with his family—and you better believe he’s the one doing the planning. His wife has been the perfect travel partner, ready to experience whatever, and happy to let him set the itinerary. Immersing themselves into the culture, experiencing the local restaurants and staying at Airbnbs, D.C. is energized by the non-stop action of landing and hitting the ground running.
When he’s not at work or travelling the world, D.C. loves to design houses—in fact, he’s currently on his 10th. From buying the lot, to working with architects, to hiring the tradespeople, D.C. is involved from start to finish; and we mean right to finish, as he has lived in every single house he’s helped build.
D.C. is an integral part of the Team Ford family. Whether it’s building houses, planning travel itineraries, or just planning out the sales teams’ goals, D.C. leads by example with hard work—making it easy for the rest of the staff at Team to follow in his footsteps.
