Ford’s Newcomer Program at Team Ford in Edmonton, AB
Team Ford and Ford Canada are happy to offer a program that embodies the welcoming nature of our proud, multicultural country — the Ford Newcomer Program. Coming to a new country proves a daunting experience, but Team Ford wants to make it as pleasant as possible. That’s why we’re offering a program that will help you gain and build credit while starting your new life in Canada.
What do you need?
The Ford Newcomer Program is open to new Canadians who possess the proper documentation:
- In the case of international students, you will need a Study Permit (either IMM1208 or IMM1442).
- Newly landed immigrants will need a Permanent Resident Card (either, IMM5688 or IMM5292).
- Finally, foreign workers will need a Work Permit (either IMM1102 or IMM1442).
In the event that you don’t have one of these documents, you may still qualify for Ford’s First-Time Buyer program.
How do you prepare?
If you want to take advantage of Ford’s Newcomer Program, you can simply prepare by researching what it is you’re looking for in a vehicle. How many people will you be driving on a regular basis? Or, if it will be used as a work vehicle, what does your work entail? Are there safety features that you prioritize above others? From there you can look at the financial aspects; how much will it cost to insure a vehicle? How much driving do you do? If the answer is a lot, you may want to consider one of Ford’s more fuel-efficient models. Once you have an idea on your budget, take either a current paystub, or a confirmation of employment, and bring it down to Team Ford to start the credit application process!
Ford Canada and Team Ford want to help you begin your new life in Canada, with creating and building credit an excellent way to do that!
