Auto LED Headlights
One of the latest innovations for vehicle forward lighting, LEDs (light-emitting diodes) provide some of the brightest and most energy-efficient lightings, today. They’re made from filaments that rely on diodes to generate light, giving you a more direct field of vision in the night time. The colour temperature of most LED headlights shines to around 5,500 Kelvin to better resemble daylight for reduced eye fatigue when driving on the road. They’re also more durable and can last the entire lifespan of a vehicle!
More commonly known as Halogen headlights, HID (high-intensity discharge) actually use xenon gas to produce an electrical gas-discharge to produce its light. While they’ve been known to produce really bright and warm lights, they also consume a great amount of energy compared to LEDs. It’s also one of the reasons HID headlights need to be replaced more often than LEDs. HIDs can also be customized to different color temperatures and light qualities that better suit your driving preferences.
