Enthusiasts rejoice, the inimitable Ford Bronco is coming back in 2020! The legendary Ford off-road vehicle will be back, and available at Team Ford.
Ford officials are quite tight-lipped, and details are scarce on the newest iteration of storied Ford multi-purpose vehicle (the Bronco was an SUV before SUVs existed) that debuted in 1966 and was in production until 1996. But there are a few things we know we can look forward to.
The new 2020 Ford Bronco will be built, at Ford’s Michigan manufacturing plant, on the overseas-only Ford Everest platform, but it will have a completely new styling that still pays homage to the original. The 2020 Ford Bronco will be a mid-size, 4×4 utility vehicle with removable roof panels, similar to the removable roof of the Ford Bronco of old. Odds are the original V8 engine from years past will be replaced by Ford’s new favourite engine, the turbocharged EcoBoost, but without more information we can only speculate at this time. A notable difference will be the change from two doors to four, but longtime fans will be sure to overlook this change when they are able to get behind the wheel of the celebrated off-roader. Now, you can finally retire that Bronco that you’ve been talking about restoring for all these years!
If you are as excited as we are, toss on your ten-gallon hat and stay tuned to the Team Ford blog where we will be sure to pass along new information as it comes available. Feel free to stop by Team Ford to talk about the 2020 Ford Bronco, or any of our other outstanding Ford models.
